Hello, I am Ms. Lady. This is my second year in education and here at BTE. I will serve as the bridge between our school, the community and your home. I work as part of the team to ensure your child’s academic success.

Parent involvement is needed at any school and at any level for our scholars to be successful. Parents who are involved have children who achieve! Our children need us to work together to work with them. If you have any questions or need anything, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Support services may include:

  • Academic Support & Enrichment
  • Counseling and referrals
  • Parent Portal & Tech Support
  • Basic Needs (Food & Clothing)
  • Parent Workshops & Trainings
  • Family Engagement Activities

What is Family Engagement?

Family engagement is a collaborative partnership between schools and families to support and strengthen the learning, development, and well-being of all children.

What does the partnership between educators and families look like?

Educators and families will create partnerships between home and school that support student achievement and school improvement by coming together and building capacity on each side to work in a deeper partnership. Educators and schools will be using the Dual Capacity Framework for Family-School Partnerships.

The two key dimensions of the framework:

  • Family capacity: knowledge, skills, and resources families need to support their children's learning.

  • School capacity: structures, practices, and relationships that support family engagement.
